Just read that an Austrian diver died after being bitten by a bull shark in the Bahamas. Except that he was diving from Jim Abernethy's M/V Shear Water, there's not much factual data to be found...
As usual, the media are hyping this tragic accident into a gruesome death by a fearsome man-eater. Worse, cage bound competitors in the dive industry are trying to use this incident to ban all uncaged shark diving in the Bahamas.

UPDATE: I'm afraid it won't change anything, but I wrote an email to Neal Watson, President of the Bahamas Diving Association & dive shop owner, and signed a petition in favor of (uncaged) shark diving.
